Pfizer – dose one

I was a public servant in a relatively senior role in a regional office. I didn’t want to get the vaccine and I was becoming increasingly concerned about the rhetoric around the ‘great unwashed’. I rang an old colleague of mine – who was a manager in a Central Government team developing and rolling out Covid policies at the time – to discuss the concerns I had. By the end of the conversation, I felt like I had to go through with getting the vaccine (no reflection on her, she was just telling me like it was for her) for ‘the greater good’.

I cried sitting in the chair getting the jab – I asked the nurse to aspirate the needle (I had read about the risks of directly inserting the vaccine into the bloodstream) to which she said – oh darling, we don’t do that anymore. I felt so belittled and that my feelings and views didn’t matter.

On I went – about 10 days later I had a fever, aches, vomiting, diarrhoea, and headaches, my resting heart rate was 180 beats per minute. I felt like death warmed up. I went to the Dr, who said it was just the flu. I had a covid test at that time – negative. After about 2-3 days I started feeling a bit better but the vertigo and fatigue were insane, I had to sit down if I wanted to walk more than 50 m. Then it all started again…back to vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches (on top of vertigo) with an elevated resting heart rate.

The Dr ordered stool samples, and blood tests, both of which showed nothing. I lost 10kg in 3 weeks. I had 5 ‘relapses’ in 6 weeks – I barely got out of bed during that time. About 1/2 way through I had a phone consultation with Dr Glen Davies (now not practicing) and he confirmed that he believed it was a vaccine injury. I stopped seeing my usual Dr because they wouldn’t discuss the possibility of a vaccine injury with me. I still have relapses of vomiting and diarrhoea with severe vertigo 18 months on if I don’t manage my hydration and food well.

I believe I now have POTS – self-diagnosed – which is going to impact the rest of my life. My partner is now my health champion and I see a Chinese Medicine practitioner.

I got significant pressure from my job to have the second jab, despite having just had 6 weeks off, basically, take it or we will make it very hard to stay – so I took 2 years of unpaid leave before they could fire me, which I am still on now.

I know I am one of the lucky ones with my current health and situation but I felt I needed to submit for all those people who aren’t as lucky as me.

Thank you for all your hard work on behalf of so many.
