Pfizer x 3
Brachial Plexopathy (nerve damage to spinal cord), denied ACC twice. Within hours of the injection, pain quickly settled in my left arm. The pain increased to levels I’ve never felt before. Imagine stabbing hot knives and stinging bees, electric shocks and crushing pressure. After 10 visits to the doctor, 3 A&E visits, and over $3,000 in medical bills I finally received a diagnosis from a neurologist. I am still in constant pain, and ACC have declined me any financial assistance.
My name is Carolyn, and this is my true story.
On 3rd February 2022 I was injured by the Covid vaccine. Within hours of the injection, pain quickly settled in my left arm. The pain increased to levels I’ve never felt before. Imagine stabbing hot knives and stinging bees, electric shocks and crushing pressure – constant and relentless from my shoulder blade to my finger tips. The pain was excruciating for weeks on end which saw me visit A&E 3 times. 1 hospital visit. 2 blood tests. Multiple GP calls, emails and visits. Acupuncture. Steroids. IV infusions. Kinesiologist consults. Countless drugs and supplements. Prescribed numerous nerve blockers and anti-depressants. Even the strongest pain relief didn’t touch the sides of the agony – codeine, tramadol, oxycodone, sometimes all at once just to try and dull the pain.
In total I’ve seen 10 different doctors, I’ve spent in excess of $3,000 looking for help and answers, but I hit shrugged shoulders, closed doors and refusals. Even trying to get repeat prescriptions for meds that clearly state “do not stop taking this medicine” is a challenge. After 12 weeks, with the help of a Neurologist and nerve testing, I finally received answers of sorts – the booster attacked my nervous system, namely the nerves in my spine at C5-7 – the resulting diagnosis is Brachial Plexopathy (C5-7 Cervical Radiculopathy).
We have no idea why it happened nor for how long the symptoms will remain. I still suffer daily from pain, numbness, muscle weakness and the side effects caused by taking multiple strong drugs continuously – exhaustion, dehydration, memory loss, speech impairment, lack of concentration and hair loss.
And the worst of all? ACC HAS DECLINED MY CLAIM. TWICE. Because apparently, I haven’t suffered an injury. My claim is now under review with an ACC review specialist and I have a conference scheduled with an independent reviewer in preparation of mediation with ACC. Having the b**ster is a choice I will forever regret.
