True Story by Emily

Emily, 20, Bay of Plenty

Pfizer x 2

Myocarditis and Pericarditis. I was mandated to get the jab, and instantly felt faint and chest pain afterwards. Blood tests revealed i had elevated D Dimer (clot markers). I have had to do nothing all summer, I barely remember Christmas. I AM NOW ON OVER 19 DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS A DAY. It has been and a very terrifying and lonely experience. My parents have paid thousands of dollars for my appointments and medications because I am unable to work. To date I have received no financial help from ACC or Ministry of Health.

My name is Emily, and this is my true story.

I HAVE DECIDED TO TELL MY STORY HOPING IT MAY HELP SOMEONE FIND HELP WHO IS ALSO SUFFERING A JAB INJURY….

On Dec 18th  i went for my 2nd jab (Pf**er) due to be needing it done by 20/12 due to being mandated for my  work. On the 21st Dec i was going Christmas shopping with my mum and got out of the car and felt like i was going to faint i was dizzy and it felt as though someone was sitting in my chest, I couldn’t catch my breath . My mum  had to help me into the car, because it felt like I was going to collapse and i could feel everything going black around me. My mum drove me straight to the GP which was closer than the hospital by 30 minutes.

They gave me an ECG and blood tests and sent me home . My blood tests came back with elevated Troponin levels (heart inflammation ). My GP advised i had Myocarditis from the jab. I was referred to a cardiologist.

On the  27/12  my mum rushed me to ED as i was fainting again my pulse was 47 i was very short of breath, my mum had to get the security guard at the hospital to help me into the emergency department because I kept collapsing. More blood tests revealed i had elevated D Dimer (clot markers).

I was given an urgent CT scan but no clots were found. I was once again discharged with no medication not even Panadol.

I have just recently had my cardiologist appointment ( march) I just had some more blood tests and now waiting for an echocardiogram and holter test.

I  have been to the Doctor weekly sometimes twice weekly I have been unable to work Doctors orders due to not being able to get my heart rate elevated.  I can’t do anything I tried to vacuum out my car the other day I ended up with heart palpitations and swelling and major chest pain. I also can’t make my bed without feeling like I have just ran a marathon.

My Doctor has advised me to do nothing at all, this is very hard for me as I am used to working then going straight to the gym after work etc. If I bend down to pick something up my heart rate shoots up to 130bpm.

I have had to do nothing all summer I barely remember Christmas. I am very grateful for the Doctors at NZDOS for treating me and for the nurses for their phone calls. I would hate to think what the state my health would be without them. They have diagnosed me with Myocarditis and Pericarditis. I have had changes and trials  of medication that have caused me to have major setbacks even last week.

I AM NOW ON OVER 19 DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS A DAY  and now having to have medication done by a IV drip in my arm. This whole experience has been very challenging not only physically but mentally and emotionally challenging I have felt very isolated over the past few months, because I look reasonably well other than swollen face and hands and feet people including my friends think I am fine and don’t understand what it is like to sit and watch the world go by without being able to do anything.

It has been and a very terrifying and lonely experience. My parents have paid thousands of dollars for my appointments and medications because I am unable to work.

To date I have received no financial help from ACC or Ministry of Health.

I am also very grateful to my family and for friends who have shown me love.

I am also grateful to Shane and Patrice And Anne for holding my poster at the protest in Wellington when I couldn’t stand for myself I can’t thank you guys enough! Also thank you to Lynda Wharton at NZ Health Forum and NZDSOS.
